While looking up Mac keyboard shortcuts today, I discovered CommandShift3, which bills itself as “like Hot or Not for web design.” It’s a pretty fun time-waster–two sites go head-to-head, you pick your favorite design, and the site tallies the votes. Some particularly ugly designs are losing to blank pages or error messages.
Update: As I go through, I’m noting that I strongly prefer minimal designs with a tightly constrained color palette. AM might be due for a rework–it’s been at least a few months.
