Mary Lou Sapone, aka Mary McFate, infiltrated most of the nation’s prominent gun control advocacy groups at the behest of the National Rifle Association; when informed of the breach, the Violence Policy Center’s legislative director, Kristen Rand, said, “I would find it hardest to believe this about her. She comes across as kind of dense.”
