Dec 0817. Man Man – Rabbit Habits
Ok, I admit that 18th is way too high for this album. It kind of snuck in and I didn’t really think about it until after I did six posts and now I don’t want to fix it up. I fully acknowledge that the album’s somewhat derivative and often weird for weird’s sake, but it’s a wheezing, flailing siren song. This album has a rollicking, crazy, coked-out gypsy pirate vibe that I can’t get over (it’s also a sort of musical acid test–I’ve found that I get along well with Man Man fans). So maybe I’m not overrating it that much. A little, I guess. Ok, I’m done.
