Dec 0824. High Places – High Places
Believe it or not, High Places isn’t just keeping the seat warm for Animal Collective–their sweet, silly lyrics and found-object percussion have some roots in glitch and ambient techno, which always endears a band to me. Plus, they’ve got the whole genre-bending bit. That said, if you don’t like Animal Collective, you won’t like this record.
