Five for Friday, Oct. 10

  1. TV on the Radio’s Dear Science, streaming on MySpace. I’ve linked this before, but I’m going to see them in less than eight hours, so you get another round.
  2. Monty Python’s John Cleese writes a poem for Sean Hannity.
  3. Sarah Palin’s last-ditch effort to stop the report on Troopergate failed–the findings will be out tomorrow.
  4. The old saw is that to someone with a hammer, everything needs hammering. To an NSA spook, everyone needs to be monitored.
  5. Wal-Mart does an about-face and decides to keep their digital rights management servers on forever. The giants are abandoning this draconian policy, with Apple alone bearing DRM’s sputtering torch.
