Girl Talk, other crappy stuff

The last time I saw Girl Talk’s Greg Gillis was in a 2007 documentary, Good Copy Bad Copy (which is worth yr time, by the way), and he looked pretty normal, maybe even a little boring. For 2008, though, he’s gone with the “James Franco in Pineapple Express” look. I don’t think it really works, especially since by the end of a show he looks more like a bug-eyed meth addict than the charismatic face of MP3 piracy.
But it was riotous fun, thanks to a rambunctious, energetic crowd and a crush of people on stage. I don’t have much else to say about the show: it was fun, I was tipsy, the end.
Coda: old taxi drivers are pretty cool.
