A “technology is not an unalloyed good” edition:

1. AT&T is so nice, they’ll not only let you pre-order iPhone 4, they’ll let you use someone else’s credit card to do it.
2. Google’s “accidental” (but probably-intentional) WiFi snooping might get them in legal trouble.
3. Meanwhile, OkCupid, the “Google of dating,” is pandering to the plastics: “We are very pleased to report that you are in the top half of OkCupid’s most attractive users….the people we recommend will be more attractive. Also! You’ll be shown to more attractive people in their match results.”
