Obama raised over $500 million (WaPo) from more than 3 million online donors. This is staggering, and not only because it’s the first time online fundraising has been really successful (both Howard Dean and Sean Tevis lost), but because of some hidden gems.
- Obama’s online operation is called “Triple O.”
- Social networks are now apparently called “socnets.”
- Obama’s “socnet” is called “MyBO.” This may be his biggest vetting failure, though probably better than “MyO.”
