2009 Week 8 NFL picks.

Despite my 9-3-1 record against the spread last week, I’m not going to bother picking every game anymore. I don’t bet on each game, so why bother?

Houston Texans -3.5 at Buffalo Bills
Despite winning 20-7, the Bills gained 167 total yards last week. They have no hope of shutting down Andre Johnson, chest contusion or not.

Jacksonville Jaguars +3 at Tennessee Titans
Two teams with decent running games and abysmal defenses. The difference is that the Jags have Silky Garrard, while the Titans will start Kerry Collins (or maybe Vince Young!).

Teaser: San Francisco 49ers +7 at Indianapolis Colts + Oakland Raiders +11 at San Diego Chargers
With or without Bob Sanders, the Colts can cover tight ends a lot better than the Texans. Oakland can’t stop anyone, since Nnamdi Asomugha can’t inject his excess awesomeness into the other Raiders defensive backs.

Am I to take from your wording that you regularly bet, just not on ALL the games?

  2. martin Says:

    usually 2-3 games per week.
